Electric bicycle manufacturer Engwe, known for its accessible and versatile e-bikes, has unveiled its most premium model to date: the P275. Designed for urban commuters, this new e-bike integrates high-end components to offer enhanced comfort and efficiency.

Premium Features for Enhanced Comfort

The Engwe P275 boasts several luxury features aimed at improving the rider experience. It includes a Selle Royal saddle and an air-lifting seat post for quick adjustability and superior comfort. The bike also features a sleek, futuristic design with an integrated luggage carrier, available in both step-through and step-over frame configurations to accommodate a wide range of riders.

Performance Driven by Top-Tier Components

Underneath its stylish exterior, the P275 is powered by a Bafang motor equipped with an integrated torque sensor. This technology ensures that the pedal assistance is finely tuned to each pedal stroke. With a nominal 250-watt output and 70 Nm of torque, the e-bike is compliant with European regulations while offering sufficient power for inclines. Riders can monitor performance data via an easy-to-read LED display.

Drivetrain and Battery Specifications

Power is efficiently transferred to the rear wheel through a silent, maintenance-free Gates carbon belt drive. A three-speed automatic geared hub contributes to the bike’s overall efficiency. The ST model, however, utilizes a chain-driven Shimano nine-speed drivetrain. The P275 is powered by a substantial Samsung 19.2-ampere-hour battery, integrated discreetly behind the seat tube. Engwe claims this battery can provide up to 150 kilometers (93 miles) on a single charge, with five levels of pedal assistance allowing riders to customize their ride.

Design, Capacity, and Availability

The Engwe P275 has a payload capacity of 264 pounds, making it suitable for carrying daily essentials. The Pro model will be available in black and black/orange colorways, while the ST model will come in white and white/orange. Pricing details have not yet been released, but the P275 is slated for a European launch soon.
