Schneider Electric has launched a new electric vehicle (EV) charging system, the StarCharge Fast 720, designed to meet the escalating demand for high-throughput charging solutions across Europe. This advanced system targets commercial and industrial sites, as well as fleet operators, offering a substantial charging capacity of up to 720 kW.

Optimized Charging for Diverse Fleets

The StarCharge Fast 720 system is engineered to charge up to 12 vehicles concurrently, a critical feature for operators managing mixed fleets that include e-trucks, buses, and passenger cars. Schneider Electric reports an impressive 97% efficiency rate for the system. It employs dynamic load management to intelligently distribute power, ensuring optimal charging for various vehicle types and minimizing downtime.

Decentralized Architecture and Scalability

A key innovation of the StarCharge Fast 720 is its decentralized architecture. This design provides significant flexibility in site layout, allowing operators to position up to six charging dispensers within an 80-meter radius of the central power cabinet. This scalability enables configurations adaptable to different site footprints and operational needs.

Simplified Installation and Lifecycle Support

Beyond its performance capabilities, Schneider Electric highlights the system’s benefits for installation and operation. The design aims to minimize grid connection requirements, streamline the installation process, and reduce noise pollution. The StarCharge Fast 720 comes with comprehensive lifecycle support, including tailored maintenance plans and 24/7 assistance. Remote monitoring is facilitated through Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Energy Asset Portal, ensuring operational efficiency and prompt support.
