Volkswagen Australia has announced a significant revision to the pricing structure for its popular ID. Buzz electric vehicle range. The German automaker is reducing the Manufacturer’s Recommended Retail Prices (RRP) for its all-electric people movers and cargo vans to more closely match the ongoing driveaway offers, aiming to provide greater clarity and affordability for consumers.
Revised Pricing Strategy for Enhanced Accessibility
The decision follows a strong customer response to existing discounted prices, which were initially intended to conclude at the end of 2025. Volkswagen confirmed that these driveaway offers for the ID. Buzz Pro (5-seater and 7-seater) and the ID. Buzz Cargo (3-seater) will now be extended until April 30, 2026.
Currently, the ID. Buzz Pro 5-seater is available at $79,990 driveaway, the 7-seater at $84,990 driveaway, and the ID. Buzz Cargo commercial van at $72,990 driveaway. To reflect these popular price points, Volkswagen has adjusted the RRPs.
“The ID. Buzz has captured the imagination of Australians: from families wanting an iconic EV people mover to businesses looking for practical zero-emission mobility,” said Michelle Rowney, Head of Marketing and Product for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. “The introductory offers were extremely well received, so we have aligned the RRP structure to these popular price points and extended the offers to give customers even greater confidence and clarity.”

Market Reception and Future Outlook
The ID. Buzz, positioned as the electric successor to the iconic Volkswagen Kombi van, has generated significant interest globally since its debut in early 2022. In Australia, thousands of expressions of interest were recorded prior to its arrival in 2025. Volkswagen aims for this pricing adjustment to further solidify the ID. Buzz’s position in the Australian market, supporting families, businesses, and fleets in their transition to electric mobility.
